NOVEL OVERVIEW
Blake Hudson is an environment officer who lives in a converted lighthouse on the southwest coast of England. Sky McPherson is a pathologist, recently assigned to the area. Both of them share a past.
Heathrow flight 101 has flown many routine journeys to and from Florida, so what made the 747 suddenly plunge into the Atlantic Ocean, killing all passengers on board?
Arthur Macelvoy, has sailed many early morning fishing excursions on board The Sea Emperor without incident. So why did one of Cornwall's most successful fishing trawlers fail to return to shore?
Joyce Masterson has taken care of her invalid mother for years without any complaint. However, when the rain came, everything changed. So, what made Joyce do those unspeakable things when the lights went out?
Through the course of their work, Blake and Sky set out to uncover the answers and this was their biggest mistake. For the truth is a conspiracy at the highest level and it will expose them to unimaginable terrors.
As the rain falls, and in a race against time they will have to battle not only for their survival but for that of mankind against the greatest power on earth; nature.
PUBLISHERS COMMENTS:
In Nimbus, his first novel, Tony Marturano reveals his true talent for story telling. In this action packed page-turner, he delivers a novel that will grip you right until its breathtaking finale.
AUTHOR'S COMMENTS
I had been writing plays for nearly ten years before I started work on my first novel, Nimbus.
However, right from the start, I knew I wanted to write about something new, something that hadn't been regurgitated many times before.
The Inspiration came, once day, in the form of a news article. And, armed with a few basic facts, I began research that led me into lengthy interviews with members of the UK Environment Agency and Met office.
So, what separates Nimbus from others of its genre? The truth; Nimbus is based on fact.
This novel starts out as a piece of fiction and turns into a dossier of human evil and government conspiracies at the highest level. The intrigue lies not only in the writing but also in the reader's mind as they ask themselves which parts are fact and which are fiction?
