Badger

Badgers are not the life of the party.  They know how to enjoy themselves, but a sociable room is not always their idea of a good time.  They enjoy their own company more than that of others and tend to be deep and serious thinkers.  People who don't know them well tend to think of them as quite grumpy and dour, but badgers just don't see the point in frivolous behavior and a flippant life style.  They have a small, carefully selected group of friends whom they are utterly loyal to.  Badgers make good politicians and public speakers because they weigh every idea and word carefully before they speak.

Financially, Badgers are the Fen Sign most likely to leave a fortune no one knew about in their will.  They are cautious with their finances almost to the point of miserly and put much thought into how to best save and invest their cash.  When younger, they are not always so careful but as they grow older they become much more careful about foolish spending.

In the work place, Badgers are solid and reliable, thorough and competent.  They are good at seeing solutions to problems, implementing them and seeing them through to its conclusion. They make good shift leaders, foremen and managers and take no erroneous clap trap from anybody.  They are slow to anger, but once their temper flares it is loath to die down and they do not forgive easily.  This simmering rage can often be a serious problem for badgers until even quite late on in their lives.

Romantically, the Badger is not the Casanova of the signs, as with all things romance is treated with a certain amount of suspicion and it takes badgers a long time to commit themselves to a relationship.  Although it seems unlikely, good partners for them are deer and pigeons as they tend to be frivolous and silly and brighten up the badgers life immensely.  Badgers will never understand what makes them tick, but they are secretly fascinated by their flighty and mercurial attitude to life and enjoy the balance they bring to each others' existence.  Badgers make patient, loving partners and excellent parents.
